OEM AUTO-LITE DISTRIBUTOR & GENERATOR FOR 1929-31 WHIPPET MODEL 96A

Description

A used Auto-Lite four cylinder Ignition Distributor that I got at an auction of vintage car parts.  This is attached to a Generator which is unmarked.
The metal tag on the Distributor reads "Auto-Lite, IBG-4020A, 11H."
From what I could find, this is the OEM Distributor for 1929-31 Whippet Model 96A cars.
I can spin the large gear on the generator (see photo 5) by hand, and when I do the shaft in the distributor also rotates.  Other than that, I have no idea if these work.
There is a cutoff attached to the generator but this is also untested.
The cable extending from the distributor (which has been cut) is for the Electrolock Ignition Switch.
Everything needs a good cleaning.
