The note retains quite a bit of its stiffness and crispiness. The note has no graffiti, no pinholes, no tears, and no splits. The edges are intact and show minimal roughness but no nicks. The corners are intact, squared with some minor bumps and are minimally rounded. The colors of the note are clear, vivid and very bright.     Description:
    A beautiful very fine or much better Banknote from South Africa. This is the South African Reserve Bank no date twenty Rands known to have been introduced in 1961. The banknote is green and brown on multicolored underprint in the front. It displays the portrait of Jan Van Riebeeck in a brown oval frame to the left of the front. There is a woman seated with an anchor in the left bottom corner and an oxen drawn wagon with a man on horseback watching it and two grazing cattle along the bottom edge of the front. The back is green and displays the image of a three-masted sailing ship in the center. The note is written in Afrikaans and English. The front has one signature and the serial number as well as the denomination. This particular note has the serial number C over 12 435871, which is displayed twice on the front in black. The back only displays the name of the bank and the denomination. The note has a watermark displaying the portrait of Jan Van Riebeeck.
